Common questions

Yes. macOS requires this permission for any app that captures screenshots. SnapCue only takes screenshots when you press the shortcut — it never records continuously. No data is saved to disk.

First, check your internet connection — SnapCue needs to reach our servers. If you're online, try quitting and reopening the app. If the issue persists, email us at support@snapcue.app.

Just Screen Recording — that's how it captures the question. No microphone, no keylogging, no background recording.

Nowhere persistent. Screenshots exist in memory only during analysis and are deleted when you quit SnapCue. We don't store a copy and there's no history.

Just the question image, briefly, for AI analysis. We don't retain it after the response comes back.
